note it's best to alter these settings from desktop or from a browser (that's what im doing). also sorry if i dont add screenshots to most of these tweets since im doing this from desktop

to access all of this on mobile go to "settings and privacy" and u should get to this page

for desktop go to the three dots and go to "settings and privacy" to get to the same page

also note: going on priv does not mean all your info is gone or protected! same goes with twt dms since they are not end-to-end encrypted, be careful what you send via dms!

how to go private: settings> privacy and safety> turn on "protect your tweets"

firstly take any part of your real name out of your profile (even @), use a pseudonym if you want. take your location out of your profile. take your birth date out of your bio and profile completely. make sure these boxes are empty

in the twt search bar look up your @ and any personal info to search up tweets that have your personal info and delete those tweets. for example search " @youruser chicago" if that is where you are from or " @youruser 23" if that is your age,heck even do this for you your past ages

delete your phone number from your settings and instead hook up a secondary email: settings > account > phone; email

make sure you have password protection on or have two-factor authentication set up: settings > account > security

make sure ur location information is off: settings > privacy and safety > location information> turn off "add location information to my tweets"

make sure photo tagging is off: settings > privacy and safety > photo tagging > turn off "photo tagging"

you can close dms: settings> privacy and safety > uncheck "receive messages from anyone"

stop twt from collecting your data: settings> privacy and safety > personalization and data > turn off "personalization and data" (this will revoke

unlink interests that are related to your location: settings > account > your twitter data > interests and ads data > uncheck all interests that are related to your location

unlink any irrelevant apps: settings> account> apps and sessions> select app and click "revoke access"

delete your past sessions (your sessions can reveal your location w/o having to enter a password): settings> account> apps and sessions> "log out all other sessions" this logs out other devices and deletes your past sessions
