On the night MLK was killed, Petey Greene stayed on the radio airwaves to talk to and sooth an angry Black community in Washington, DC. Right now Black America, and the nation at large, is in pain. And where is Black media? For the most part, silent. 1/4
We don't have a national Black talk radio network. Our Black cable networks are all showing entertainment, save for Revolt, which recently launched a weekly Black News show. There is Black News Channel, but their footprint is so small it's not significant.2/4
There is no outlet for Black folks to be able to share, talk and discuss. I have ordered my #RolandMartinUnfiltered team to find a digital solution for us to be able to talk and share as a nation. I'll give you more details tomorrow. 3/4
