How are you, as a leader, going to handle discussions in the work place regarding George Floyd and the protests? There are Soldiers in our formations who are affected by this.

If you shut down the discussions completely, you invalidate the conversation to your Soldiers.

If you let it go unmoderated you’re soon going to find who is a closet racist, and you might very well have a fight in your formation.

So, how do you let this important and sensitive topic and situation be discussed while stewarding our profession?

Making sure the conversation is real, fair, and in line with Army Values and Service Ethos.

We owe it to our Soldiers to not stifle this conversation and call out the racists in our ranks.
