So, we have the Amish protestin, we have Witches Protestin, We have many religious leaders protestin, we have people dressed up as superheroes protestin, anonymous is doin their work. But there is 1 more group we need out here. one of the most powerful Twitter forces: #VolTwitter
#VolTwitter, this thread is for you. You are one of the most powerful Twitter voices out there. We need your power more than ever in this time of racial injustice and standing up for Black Lives.
Now, I know I am going to get a lot of "well, we don't want to riot." Well neither did the people of Minneapolis, Seattle, Raleigh, Atlanta, New York City, Los Angeles, Louisville. They did that because the police officers over there intervened.
They threw tear gas at peaceful protests, they fired rubber bullets at people whose only protection was a paper sign at best, they set random buildings on fire just so they can blame it on black people. It's the same thing everywhere. Except, Knoxville.
I was honestly suprised that there was little to no police intervention in the Knoxville protests last Friday. They remained mostly peaceful. I have a theory. A lot of the officers know what happened back in January 2010 when Lane Kiffen backstabbed Vol Nation to go to USC.
Needless to say...Vol Nation was fucking furious.

Yeah, it may not seem like much. But this obviously seemed to scare the KPD enough to know that...this town probably shouldn't be messed with. And Friday's protests were really one of the only Notable protests to stay peaceful outside of California and Texas.
"But the police are there to protect us, aren't they?" Let this guy explain it to ya
So, basically, here's what you need to do. If you go to the protests outside of the state, I gotta warn you. You may need a change of clothes, a backpack with food and water, a face covering, steel toed shoes, a respirator mask, and eye protection.
This is mainly if the police escalate the protests to riots. Also, DO NOT BRING YOUR PHONE. Police can track that. Also try not to wear any recognizable symbols as the police may use that to track you too.
Here is also a guide on what NOT to do at these protest if you're white:
And lastly. Try to be peaceful...and if the police try to start a riot, give them a revolt. Give 'em hell.

Thank you.
