THREAD: A large number of police officers around the country have been abusing their power and have not been able to control themselves. This isn't being talked about so here is video and photo evidence of cops being unjust and failing to have self control while working protests.

Officers with the Columbus Police Department maced 70 year old United States Representative Joyce Beatty and her staff during a peaceful gathering, while covering their bodycams with tape. She has confirmed that she is okay. #columbusprotest #BLACK_LIVES_MATTER

Detroit Police officers harass and assault a protester who was doing nothing illegal. This particular video was disturbing to me because of the sheer anger coming from the cop. He was only assaulted because the officer had a bone to pick. #DetroitProtest #BLACK_LIVES_MATTER

A 10 year old girl is among a group of peaceful protesters that were maced for no reason by Seattle Police officer Jared Campbell, who refused to give his badge number when bystanders asked.

Innocent and peaceful demonstrators are rushed and attacked by Detroit Police for seemingly no reason, once again.

An unhinged officer was fixated on taking down one single black protester going as far as grabbing and dragging him for 30 seconds while being attacked by other people of other races. Eventually he stops, starts pushing the person who got him up, and then runs away. Unhinged.

A detroit woman is swarmed, tackled and arrested when doing nothing that was worthy of that reaction.

Protesters were maced while trying to help up another protester who fell to the ground. #BLACK_LIVES_MATTER

A disturbing video from San Jose shows officers looking excited to be working a riot. (Believe it or not there are a lot of officers who look forward to situations like these because they feel like they can abuse their power and not be held accountable for it during a protest.)

I would like to say that I understand that officers are under immense pressure right now. I understand that law enforcement is a high stress career. But if you can't properly handle/manage that stress, even on your toughest days, you shouldn't be an officer. Period. #protests

Officers are supposed to be there to deescalate riots not fight peaceful protesters out of anger and spite. Peaceful people have been assaulted for no reason across this country by multiple departments and it deserves to be talked about. Cops are STILL abusing their powers.

I don't have respect for any of these officers whatsoever. I do however have respect for the officers that are actually showing their communities that they care. Hats off to them.

I'm still updating the thread with more videos. An NYPD Officer drove their SUV into a crowd of protesters. The crowd was throwing water bottles at the first car, but once again their actions didn't warrant the reaction they got. #newyorkprotest #BLACK_LIVES_MATTER
