They give you an Office of "Police Accountability" that never quite gets you to the accountability

They give you a shoulder to cry on.

They steal your wallet and then help toy look for it.

The US system is full of these channels where you can feel effective and involved in a process that operates without your input 99.9% of the time

It keeps you just invested enough in an outcome that you don't burn the mfer down.
