white/non-black people: If you are attending the riots to selfishly destroy, steal and escalate chaos. You are making the space so much more unsafe for our black brothers and sisters trying to protest injustices towards THEIR community. This is not about you.

This is about protesting a system that has never “protected and served” the black community. A law enforcement and prison system that stems directly FROM slavery by disproportionately imprisoning and mistreating black Americans in order to tip-toe around the abolishment of

slavery itself. A system that has proven time and time again to have no motivation, desire or obligation to uplift or protect the black community whatsoever, but continue to bully, oppress, degrade and MURDER them with no consequences.

Support the BLM movement properly or stay the fuck home. You are there to protect and support our black brothers and sisters. Not escalate the violence.

Also need to say: this is not invalidating or ignoring that police have been acting in heinously violent ways towards protesters and have been the main cause in the escalation of violence over the last few days. But we as non black people have no right to escalate

violence further and make it an even more unsafe space for the black people protesting who are, and have always been in the most danger of being targeted violently by police.
