Hi friends. I know this is coming late and I’m sorry for that, but I just wanted to make a little thread about the #BlackLivesMatter movement, as well as the recent murder of George Floyd.

It feels weird to speak about this stuff bc I don’t want this to be about ME. I don’t want to get my brownie points for saying racism is bad and then move on. I don’t want to tweet a hashtag just to do my social justice homework.

But the truth is: The treatment of black americans by the justice system is FUCKED. As a white man I will never be put in a situation where I fear the police and it shouldn’t be like this.

After some time of thinking and trying to find a way to be helpful, on top of the money I’ve already donated, I will be donating all my Patreon earnings this month to the Chicago bail fund.

To all of my black followers: I’m here for all of you. I know it’s scary right now, but I hope you know that change is coming. Sometimes you need to work hard for it. Sometimes it doesn’t seem fair, but one day the world will be changed because of your voices.

Thank you for those voices. Thank you for protesting the injustice your community has been through. You inspire me and I’m here alongside you. If there’s anything I can do as a person with a platform, please let me know and I’ll be here to do it.
