These protests are about police abuse and a complete lack of accountability. And all across the country—NYC, LA, Austin, Cleveland and plenty of other cities—police are responding abusively and with apparently no accountability. This is f*cked.
Of all the ways to calm people protesting police abuse, more police abuse coast to coast seems pretty low on the list of effective approaches. But then again, it’s what Trump asked for.
