The irony here is that whenever the protests are in the US they are addressed as violence, while in other parts of the world the US regards them as demonstrations, though it’s just the same everywhere, people come to the streets to ask for their rights in different ways! https://twitter.com/joebiden/status/1266863206334705664
Some people protest peacefully, and some violently, it happens everywhere, burning, vandalism, looting is one aspect of anger in streets, and its condemned for whatever reason, but for years this was seen by US spokespeople as anger, as far as it’s outside their borders
And as in our countries, the elites ally to confront the social dismay, when they unite to defend the establishment because they are part of it, when they only see vandalism and looting and threaten to bring military to the streets,
Take this, I’ve heard this take several times during the Arab spring and lately in Lebanon, “we heard your voice, but those in the streets aren’t you, they are organised groups”

And really no need for anyone to preach that this is different. People in streets everywhere are the same, from Syria to Iran to Egypt to Iraq to Venezuela to France, and of course to the US, this is how human beings have been protesting angrily since centuries
And it’s the same line coming out from every state whenever things are getting bad, even if it’s just an issue of slight changes been requested by the masses. Being black or white doesn’t make a difference, I’ve seen protests in different places around the world.
