Police are rioting across America.
They’re attacking citizens and journalists alike; they have to assert their power and they have no qualms about who they hurt or how badly they hurt them.
This is about power and dominance and delight in hurting black people. You can’t touch any of that without threatening all of it, so the Police are rioting.

The power to hurt or kill with impunity — especially black people — is central to police identity in this country and they will visit violence on anyone to preserve that power. The police are rioting.
