in 2007 they helped arrest chris forcand, an alleged internet predator.

forcand was already tracked down by the group before the police investigations even commenced. so basically, anonymous members posed as children to collect evidences against him and after collecting +

enough shit to get him arrested, they contacted the authorities who THEN invistagated on the 53 years old man.

in 2011, Anonymous took down 40 child porn sites that had tried to protect themselves by using anonymous hosting technics. the operation was a huge success and all of the sites got taken down and over 1500 names of people who used the sites got released to the general public

in 2012 Anonymous hacker the website of the californian statewide law enforcement associate to protest agaisnt police brutality

in 2012 again, they hacked 248 chinese government websites to protest agaisnt the lack of democracy

i’m gonna stop here for now, of course they’ve done way more throughout the years but i can’t cover it all but all that to say that they’re a good help and good change is about to come
