UPDATE: The man who stole the tank has been identified as social media activist Shaun King ( @shaunking).

UPDATE: Shaun King has been taken into custody by police after the police refused to shoot King because he's white. King is reportedly "distraught".

JUST IN: While in custody Shaun King began stripping to try to seduce the police officers into letting him go but instead they added an indecent exposure charge on top of him stealing a tank.

He is facing up to 25 years minimum in prison.

UPDATE: Former NFL backup QB Colin Kaepernick has paid Shaun King's $500,000 bail.
