I’ve been trying to patiently figure out what the hell I would say about the murder of George Floyd but my anger just won’t let anything coherent come out. So imma just write.

I really want to say fuck you to all the people that still don’t get it. You see someone have their life taken again by the very people who are supposed to protect and serve and you don’t link arms with those protesting against the injustice.

We watched those with the power to intervene do nothing. Your silence and lack of outrage makes you complicit to their inaction.

Black, white, green, purple it don’t fucking matter. We are all HUMANS. When you look at your son, your daughter, your mother, father, brother, sister — you would do anything for the people you love. George Floyd was loved. Is loved. Nothing your hate can do will change that.

Your hate is why you still don’t get it.

In the end, I’m a man of faith and I know that there is something greater promised. That is my peace in the midst of this chaos...

But when I look into my daughters eyes, I’ll be damned if every ounce of my body isn’t determined to stand and fight for what is right and good. There is no middle ground in that. I guess, I’m really wanting to know what the fuck it is you stand for.
