I've been seeing a lot of people compare my development speeds to @WatchMixer's and I want to get this out of the way. I am 1 person. Working on 1 thing. That I have built the ENTIRETY of. Mixer is a team of people. Working on MANY things, all of which were made as a team. (1/5)
This means that in my case, I know exactly how everything works. From top to bottom, left to right, I know EXACTLY how the things I'm building work, because I built them alone. Mixer on the other hand has a whole team. Not everyone knows how everything works. (2/5)
They also have MANY more things to deal with. As well as management. If I want to build something, I don't have to get it confirmed with someone, or voted on with a team, I can just do it. When you're a company, that simply isn't how it works. (3/5)
When you're a company there are a lot of steps you have to go through, you have to make sure that you have the resources to spend on making said thing. You have to confirm with everyone that it's a good idea. You have to plan what teams are going to do it. (4/5)
What I can say, is that I know @WatchMixer is listening. And I know that they care just as much as every single one of you do about the platform. Even if things take time, believe in your platform, good things take time. (5/5)
