I hope my #ActuallyAutistic folks aren’t being silent, but being allies to black autistic people during this time.

It’s the only way to ensure our community is for #AllAutistics
Black autistic people are more likely to be mistaken as a threat.

We are more likely to be unable to quickly comply with demands during a tense encounter with police.
If you want to be an ally, but don’t know how here are some ways.

1. Peacefully protest.

Please don’t come into our communities inticing violence or destroying property. We will be blamed for it and you won’t be around when it’s time to fix the damage.
2. Donate

There are various funds to can donate to.
3. Don’t rely on us to help you process your emotions and thoughts or to educate you.

We don’t have the space to do that now. We are trying to process our own stuff.
4. Be kind.

Sometimes the best support is just knowing someone sees you and cares.
