hi there! just wanted to say that if you’re starting to lose significant amounts of followers because of your recent posts about #georgesfloyd and #blacklivesmatter , you’re part of the problem.

in the past 48 hours, i have gone on my biggest #acab tweeting spree yet. not only did my followers stay, but i got even more of them after some of those tweets gained some traction. that’s because my social media presence has ALWAYS been anti-racist, pro-black and pro-indigenous

this thread isn’t here to shame you if your follower count has taken a hit. what it is here for is to ask you to keep this energy up. not just today. not just this week. and definitely not when the next black life is taken by a police officer. always. at all times.

make sure you’re vocally anti-racist and pro- #blacklivesmatter . make sure no one doubts that you stand with black and indigenous peoples. make sure your views and activism are so inextricably intertwined with your other content that racists don’t feel comfortable following at all

make sure you are not a safe space for racists to find entertainment and peace. because god knows no space is safe to be black. not in public. not in schools. not is hospitals. not even in our own homes. and least of fucking all in custody.
