If you have #GeorgeFloydprotest pictures from anywhere in the country that you'd be willing to open license for Wikipedia - please upload them to Wikimedia Commons. I can help with how to do it.
Note that open licensing (CC-by) means that anyone can use them, not just Wikimedia, including news orgs; and it's not a great idea to have close-ups or identifiable shots of people without permission. Otherwise, go to town!!
Particularly good - long crowd shots that show size/placement, without recognizable faces. Shots of police lines/response, similarly. For destruction, shots of building damage, but in context (eg just one or many?)
Also, CC-by licensing means the right shoulder, usually the photog, has to grant permission, so no copying from news sources! We'll just delete them, and journalists should get paid :(
Ha, rights holder not right shoulder, thanks autocorrect
Here's some nice examples from pro Wikipedian Ryan M: https://twitter.com/Antisomniac/status/1266951742715035648?s=19
