I have one final video going up on my YT in about 45 minutes or so, but before I get to that, I just want to say something really quick.

The last two days have been a particularly frustrating trial to get through for a lot of us. I haven't commented on any of the...
...current events going on, not out of a dislike for the protests going on or a wish to ignore the anger and bitterness that so many of my fellow countrymen feel, but because I'm simply too emotionally exhausted to get myself too worked up over the issues at hand.
The biggest feeling that has ruled my life, and indeed all our lives throughout 2020 is the feeling that we're trapped. We're stuck in a bad situation and there genuinely looks like there's no way out.

I've seen more than a few friends of mine, people I genuinely look up to...
...responding to the string of crises by cracking jokes about how maybe it'd be a good thing if the world came to an end, and we all die.

Even if you genuinely think those jokes are funny... please don't. It doesn't help anyone to think that way.
As someone who has been through really unpleasant episodes in his life (and frankly isn't completely in the clear yet), I can tell you that thinking that death is the only way out, even as a joke, doesn't really do you any good.
I don't want to die. I want things to get better.
And when times get hard, they rarely improve right away. Because in order to make a better world, we all have to pitch in in some capacity. Even if you do something small, it can have a big effect on the world.
What the proverbial "right thing" is that will make the world better is a hard thing to say. Even if I manage to live for another hundred years, I doubt I'll be able to figure out what the best way to change the world. All I can do is my part, even if it's just...
...writing words and repeating the same message that people need to hear.

With all that said, if you have someone who needs to hear any of what I've said, please pass this thread along.
