A couple of things from my stream the other night & the last few days (thread)
- Black Lives Matter. Point blank, period. Debate your racist ass family. All Lives Matter takes away from the point of the BLM movement. If you don't understand by now, you never will.

- We're taking note of ALL the streamers, black or not, who had ALL shit to say about throwing a fucking cat, using emotes in other people's chats, the Twitch Safety Council, but have remained silent about this, or have only spoken up about how they think looting is wrong.
Y'all are cowards & only care about blackness when you're using it for aesthetics/entertainment purposes. You've failed to regulate your communities, especially your non-black audience, & are afraid of losing money/viewers if you speak up, because that matters more to you.
This goes for the people who say they don't discuss "politics" or "drama" in the vicinity of their brand. BLACK HUMANITY & SYSTEMATIC RACISM AIN'T POLITICS OR DRAMA. IT'S OUR REALITY, & YOU'RE PRIVILEGED IF YOU CAN JUST IGNORE IT, NOR DO YOU GIVE A FUCK.
95% of you ain't gonna "make it big" on Twitch, but you'd rather remain silent in the face of injustice, oppression, & genocide, because you wanna coddle your non-black audience cuz this makes them uncomfortable.
Try living this shit every day, THEN talk to us about discomfort.
Try living this shit every day, THEN talk to us about discomfort.
If you have a platform, & remain silent in the face of this shit, you might as well be pulling the trigger. Why?
- SILENCE IS COMPLICITY. IF YOU ARE SILENT, YOU ARE COMPLICIT. PERIOD. REGARDLESS OF WHO YOU ARE.
Non-black folks, it's ok to be quiet long enough to listen/learn from black voices right now, or amplify black voices & not take them as your own. That's not the same as silence.

Silence is when fail to arm yourself with knowledge or educate yourself on what's happening, or you are aware, & fail to speak or share black voices.
- Various forms of protest are valid. Peaceful protest, rioting, looting, all that shit.
If you are arguing that rioting & looting is counter productive, you are completely ignoring your fucking history.
You can debate my fucking history degree.

You can debate my fucking history degree.
You are also ignoring how differently white protestors, rioters, & looters are historically viewed vs. black ones.
WE ARE NOT FUCKING OBLIGATED TO PEACEFULLY PROTEST VIOLENCE AGAINST BLACKNESS & GENOCIDE.
WE ARE NOT FUCKING OBLIGATED TO PEACEFULLY PROTEST VIOLENCE AGAINST BLACKNESS & GENOCIDE.
If you're saying shit like "we shouldn't be rioting & looting because it makes us look bad & makes us look like the exact people that racists say we are!"
WELL BITCH I'LL BE THAT. DAMNED IF I DO, DAMNED IF I DON'T. SO MIGHT AS FUCKING WELL.

- We ain't finna play into black respectability politics. If you're black & you play into that shit, you need to take a long hard look at you & your "good negro" complex.
Being "one of the good ones" or "one of the respectable ones" ain't gonna keep you safe.
Being "one of the good ones" or "one of the respectable ones" ain't gonna keep you safe.
You are BLACK. It doesn't matter how "respectable" you are. They hate your ass too.
We see what peaceful protest has gotten us. If peaceful protesting worked, we wouldn't be seeing this shit in 2020.
Kap's black ass got blacklisted. MLK's black ass was SHOT. THE LIST GOES ON.

- Fuck Target. Fuck large corporations. Capitalism ain't ever fucking benefitted black people. Capitalism is what brought our asses over here on cramped ass slave ships. Capitalism doesn't look out for blackness.
This tweet from @HamptonThink sums up my thoughts on looting:
There's probably unfortunately going to be local black businesses caught up in this, but that falls in the hands of random people coming in taking advantage of the situation & whites who are infiltrating the protests to push a false narrative.
It happens, every time.
It happens, every time.
Does that delegitimize what's going on?
Only if you weren't really supporting it to begin with.

- Non-black queer/trans folks better not have shit against this, considering our black queer/trans brothers & sisters are fighting this fight too.
Queer history is the Stonewall RIOTS, a CATALYST for LGBTQIA liberation. One of the leaders of Stonewall was a black trans woman.

- Remember brother George Floyd, but remember sister Breonna Taylor, too. Don't let her become a distant memory. Black women have experienced the same fatal penalties for their blackness.
- We're also taking note of all of the celebrities-singers, rappers, actors, etc-who are remaining silent, or spewing bullshit rhetoric.
This includes black celebrities engaging in respectability politics.
End the cult of celebrity. Don't support these folks anymore.

- For the non-black folks & non-black businesses who are speaking up, keep this energy at all other times & all year round, too, & NOT just when you're under a microscope.
- Internet activism is generally frowned upon & delegitimized but it's fucking CRUCIAL, especially at times like these. Don't underestimate how loud your voice is or the reach it has. Don't underestimate your power. You can make a difference from your home.
Remember that we're in the middle of a pandemic. It's easy to feel helpless if you aren't out in the streets, but we have freedom fighters on the ground doing the hard work, but the freedom fighters who are home can still do their part.
If you do go protest, STAY SAFE. Wear a mask. Protect your identity PROPERLY. Bring supplies. Stay hydrated. There's tips from protestors in places like Hong Kong who are offering solidarity & advice to us, so be sure to read up on those.
For the folks at home, we can do our part. Talk. YELL. Hold people accountable. Share important info, warnings, etc. Share crowdfunding & fundraising resources. Since starting this thread, lots of cities have started their own protests, & their own bail/resource funds, too.
