The issue of ‘outside agitators’ is nuanced and messy.

One one hand are politicians conveniently repeating police reports w/o verifying the accuracy. We’ve seen it today from Trump, AG Barr, MN Gov. Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frye and St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter.

Fed, State and Municipal leaders and their police forces rely on the cover of ‘outside agitators’ to hide their participation in systems of white supremacy and police violence in an effort to avoid change.

At the same time we have disturbing footage of white provocateurs exploiting largely peaceful protests to destroy property, incite violence and pursue a separate agenda, actively ignoring pleas of black protest organizers.

And the mysterious umbrella guy who some believe is Jacob Peterson an Eagan, MN cop who killed 23 year old Isak Abdirahman Aden last year.

TL;DR instigators and provacateurs come from all walks to delegitimize political protest and we must demand elected officials, police and media provide evidence that disrupters are who they say they are.

Take nothing for granted. Demand proof.
