Please please please read all of it to understand my point
I genuinely believe that there is a malignant ever present force of racism in this country that is utterly un fathomable to me. To wake up already feeling hate? Truly unbelievable.

But I can also say from a simple outsider looking in on everything that is happening, I can safely say the riots seem to have such a clouded message behind them. Is it peace? No. Is it retribution? Not really, the cops in question were punished.
I am not saying anything is unwarranted, anger is completely the natural response to all of this, outrage is wholly understandable. But to say I’m confident this will spark some enlightened movement is a stretch to say the least. At least right now.
I would love to see someone, anyone or maybe a few people step up, and find a way to get something out there expressing the unrest amongst the oppressed population, without the perceived mindless violence.
There is something that is missed in simple social media reposts, and the same horrible videos being shared again and again. There is something powerful in the spoken word, especially when not in a tone of indignation, but instead hope for change.
And I have seen a few videos of men, and women and kids black and white, simply talking. Talking about where there issues lie, why they are angry, how they see change happening, those are the videos I like to see.
If you would like to discuss this further, I’d be glad to answer DMs but please don’t bring it into this thread.
