please remember that taking a break is not selfish. your mental health is important. if you’re signing petitions, spreading awareness, tweeting about the movement and openly showing your support, you’re doing amazing. don’t force yourself to look at triggering content
if you’re feeling anxious because you saw a video that might’ve triggered you or read something that triggered you, log off for a minute and breathe. it’s not wrong. you’re just taking care of yourself which is not selfish at all
remember not to stay silent about this. but also remember not to guilt trip people into believing their own mental health isn’t important. because it is.
