I’ve been doing a lot of thinking the last few days. A lot of praying too, for George Floyd, Minneapolis, and the reality of America today. After watching so many videos of people speaking out, I have one big thought...

... we can’t keep going to the polls to check the “straight Democrat” or “straight Republican” box on our ballots. Research the people on your local ballot; care about local elections and not just the big ones.

And perhaps most of all...

... don’t be afraid to vote for the party opposite of what you normally vote or believe in. I believe racism, suppression and white supremacy know no party.

Research the candidates on your ballot and make sure you aren’t putting dangerous people in office, no matter your party.
