कामसूत्र is not written by Richard Burton. Authorship is with वात्स्यायन (~300 BCE) - a well known fact

Person who doesn't know such basic info has made a video to denounce this text !!

In fact, title of Burton's translation work in 1883 was - Kamasutra of Vatsyayana

Burton himself has acknowledged that this is not his work but is of वात्स्यायन and Burton has just translated it

So, saying "Burton written Kamasutra" is an agenda driven white lie.

Answer -
In #कामसूत्रम् text, वात्स्यायन has mentioned "इति वात्स्यायनः" and put his views at places

वात्स्यायन of न्यायसूत्र is respected but of कामसूत्रम् is fake - is only a foolishness

Moreover, the earliest ref. of वात्स्यायन is found in #पञ्चतन्त्रम् , #वासवदत्ता (सुबन्धु) and #नाट्यशास्त्रम् (भरतमुनि)

These all #Sanskrit works r not only ancient but respected too. In all these works, वात्स्यायन is related to काम only

King of #Gujarat in 13th c. CE already had the manuscript of कामसूत्र in his library which he gave to यशोधर who then composed जयमंगला टिका available today.

Also clear ref. of वात्स्यायन, with many other greats, is also found in an #Inscription from #Combodia of king यशोवर्मा (end of 9th c. CE).

This proves, वात्स्यायन & #कामसूत्रम् were celebrated out of #India too
