it's not only a film which i highly admire for its themes of police brutality, institutional racism, and racial identity but also one of my favourite films of 2018
the amount of relevance that it manages to hold up during this time is remarkable, hence its commentary of course

although there are those who may critique it, notably for the amount of raw emotion in it, i simply do not care as i felt like it helped elevate the experience i had whilst watching the film
not only that but also the performances, writing, and grounded drama really did it for me

i've watched the film around two times (first in an airplane, second in a free screening of an art centre) before and i'm planning to watch it perhaps for the third time
i still find scenes of the film to be very memorable like the point seven scene, the witness scene, etc.
