The saving grace of #PrinceWilliam & #KateMiddleton’s “love story” is that it is nearly 20 years old. Lot of water has passed under that bridge, many of the articles, photos have been scrubbed by the “Kate is Great” campaign, which pretty much started in 2007, by #CaroleMiddleton

As much as Harry publicity supported & showed deference to Kate, he had only a passing acquaintance with her. Harry is always respectful & gentlemanly to the ladies around him, Kate was given the same treatment, whenever she was found in his vicinity, most often a party or a club

In fact, Harry never gave William the permission to give Diana’s ring to Kate. Harry was surprised by the news of the proposal (photo 1) & by that time Kate already had the ring, so byegones & all that.
Now, one could say Billy the Basher (childhood nickname) just took the ring

More importantly, to the die hard supporter of decorum & respecting the elders (even if they are Scum of Earth like Thomas Markle) - I guess proposing the girl BUT not asking her father before is a cherished Windsor tradition - considering the Future-Future king did it first

Speaking of Elders, Queen only met Kate once before W/K engagement; at Peter the MilkMan’s wedding. Which William didn’t think was significant enough event for him to join & support his girlfriend. Did I not tell you our boy Willy is romantic?!?

After that momentous meeting of the Queen & Future-Future Kween, the old biddy was left wondering what is Kate’s occupation? So, #QueenElizabeth & #PrinceCharles were only informed of #PrinceWilliam & #KateMiddleton’s engagement a couple of hours before Kate’s “Issa Phylis Blue Wrap Dress” moment before the press. Meaning press was already on standby that a big announcement is coming from the Palace.

Well, we all know how romantic proposals go... Boy knows, Girl knows & Girl’s Mummy knows - and for the rest it is too late to back out.
Did I mention, #PrinceWilliam is a romantic at heart, because I want to make sure I didn’t miss that important detail.

Lastly (although there is much more grime under this Cam-bridge, but I can suffer to wade through these backwaters only this much at a time), remember that our Sussex Family is together & among friends.
