I'm monitoring the city-wide #Chicago PD frequency on the scanner and they're starting to sound busy again.

"Property damage has started... zero tolerance for property damage. Arrest 'em."

"Somebody has a backpack full of eggs and they're throwin' 'em."

"10-1 at Adams & Dearborn."

10-1 is "officer needs emergency assistance." Might mean a number of things.

Sounds loud.

"Everybody who gets put in a wagon, I need your body cameras on."

"They're breakin' out the windows at the Daley Center."

This is sounding hectic and it's NOT EVEN 3:00 PM.

"We got crowds movin' in all directions around Daley Plaza."

"There's no damage to the Daley Center. It's not bona fide."

"They're throwin' things at the police, State & Adams. Use caution."

"Officers, start puttin' on your helmets."

Dispatch: "Group at Adams & State is blockin' westbound on State."

Officer: "State runs north and south."

"Please make sure your helmets are on, they're throwin' things at the officers so keep you helmets on."

"I got a large fight goin' on at State & Adams."

"We're headed towards The Bean on Michigan Avenue, headed towards The Bean."

"10-1 at Washington & Dearborn."

This is getting tense and it'll go alllllllll night.

"Got a couple thousand northbound on Michigan from Randolph."

"Tribune Tower, they're startin' to break over the barricades, need more units at the Tribune Tower."

"1 W Monroe, we're about to call a 10-1, we are surrounded."

Units needed at Trump Tower.

"We're surrounded here on State Street by the Palmer House, got 500 people around us."

"...broke through the barricades goin' toward Trump [Tower]."

"5 or 6 hundred comin' through the barricade at Trump Tower."

Lake Shore Drive northbound is getting closed at Roosevelt.

"Breaking squad car windows in front of Trump Tower."

"Spray painting unmarked cars in front of Trump."

"Anybody who damages property gets locked up today."

I have mixed feelings about this whole thread. It's important to know what's going on but I don't want to add to the frenzy.
