I feel like in any other world I could be excited about a crewed space rocket launch. but I just don't feel anything, man

I've been assisting in a protest whose anger stems partially from the oppressive economic situations caused by the rampant capitalist practises of giant corporations and rich people

So while I of course find space travel super cool and absolutely find joy in not just the act itself but also my peers around me watching a livestream of a rocket break through the sky with humans on board...

There is a dispiriting feeling lingering around me, about how this livestream I'm watching is another moment in which corporate capitalists claimed yet another domain that was previously publicly-owned and directed

I'm 22 years old and one of my favourite, most long-running hobby/interest is starting to lose its joy for me, and on some level, I am terrified by it.

Man, I'm fucking terrified by it.
