Since im kinda on a roll today I wanna talk about how where I live, Sweden, the government has basically been oppressing POC, mostly muslims/arabs during corona. Bare with me cause this might be a thread.

So the first thing that's fucked is how they conducted a rule that only lets up to 50 people meet up in a single place. And if you break the rule you get a fee, but see the thing is this rule has ONLY targeted mosques. And this is obvious as it was made right before ramadan.

Like legit if you go out in recent days when the weather has become a little nicer everywhere is full of people almost like there's no pandemic, yet cops dgaf about any of the fancier poche places and go after foreign resturants instead like an arabic one opening on Eid.

Here's the heartbreaking stuff though: they don't value people's lives at all. Our government has only prioritised making the economy stable through all this instead of treating anyone. We are consistently top 2 in the world in terms of per capita deaths and last week we were #1

And if you're a POC and sick you're kinda shit out of luck. They dont treat us as well as swedes or at all. As a swede you can get weeks of trestment with minor symtoms but when 49 year old somali Abdrirahmaan Sheikh Muhiadiin Eli was coughing blood and passsing out for weeks

they refused to treat him. The healthcare system prioritize people living alone which they KNOW affect POC/Immigrant families. A lot of what I've said probably applies to other countries as well which is heartbreaking, I just want people to know that some countries, like Sweden

might seen like safe havens for everyone but in reality they're not and are built on class/ethnic oppression. I haven't even mentioned how if you live in immigrant/"crime heavy" suburbs like I do they send you to worse hospitals/testing centres. Even in a general sense, Sweden's

response to corona has been an absolute mess and a failure. We have way too many deaths here due to the government being full of cold lizards who don't value people's life and only understand profit. Thanks for reading this thread though I appreciate it
