ewww some (white) people will share a video/article/anything & when you engage in a dialogue with them that urges them to reconsider or think deeper about certain parts, they're just like "oh I wasn't trying to say that, just sharing different viewpoints"
1) just admit you were wrong. this could be really uncomfortable, but get over yourself. don't put your pride above showing others you care about learning
2) you're distancing yourself from the issue with this statement. don't do that. it's a poor use of your privilege. you're also undermining your own intelligence & ability to think critically. I know you can do it.
3) when you share something without adding your thoughts & revisions to the original content, it actually is like you're saying that... so be intentional & not so lazy that you can't clarify why you do fw and what you don't
