Any thoughts on when you'll be finishing this cycle route @A14C2H? Between Oakington and Bar Hill this could be good #SpacesToBreathe
I say good. Because even when finished it won't be great. Does this field really need priority over the cycle route?
The next one is even worse. No surface on the side access. Not even the subsurface on the cycle route beyond.
Yes, they'll say the route isn't open yet so I shouldn't have been there. But the road is open. And I'd get low odds betting on hassle from drivers if I took to the road here.
Look what glory awaits! A cycle and foot bridge over the A14 to Bar Hill. Town with stand out low cycle use compared to others similarly close to Cambridge.
With no access to the new bridge I rode over the road bridge into Bar Hill. Predictably enough encountering the one a-hole driver of my whole ride.
So angered by the delay I caused him reaching the roundabout that he took the time to drive around it twice to yell at me. My sympathies with the few riders of Bar Hill.
This is better. Quiet bridleway out of Bar Hill to Lolworth.
Early glimpse of my goal. New cycle and foot bridge over the A14 to Swavesey. This one I hope I can use.
Looking good. Comfortable gradient to cycle upto the bridge.
Nice wide deck for passing people. Shoulder high parapet makes it a comfortable ride with my vertigo. (I find it impossible to ride the A10 bridge at Milton with its low sides.)
View back from the Swavesey path.
