Thread of tips & resources for those protesting this weekend
Last night, 8 protestors were arrested, including some of our team, and APD used rubber bullets, bean bag shots, and pepper spray. We support the disruption of state violence through a diversity of tactics! Stay safe!

* please continue to wear masks and gloves to protect your own identity, the identities of others, and protect each other during this pandemic.
* It is best not to bring prescription meds to the protests. If you do, you’re encouraged to bring the bottle containing your prescription. While police may not allow you to take them while detained, your best bet is to have them in the bottle they came in
* Avoid wearing contacts. Tear gas is particularly harmful for you! Bring goggles or sunglasses to protect your face.
* If you come into contact with tear gas, use water and not milk to perform an eye wash (milk is likely to stain and make protestors more easily identifiable).

* An easy way to identify an undercover cop is to check if they have an arm band. For example, protesters in Brooklyn noticed that several men throughout the crowd all wore white armbands. They're required to wear these so uniformed cops can spot them.
* Make sure to numbers of any emergency contacts (in case of arrest or hospitalization) on your body or in your memory—be sure you have a contact not going to the protest.
