re: 어떻게 생각해, the entire track revolves around a rhetorical question directed at people *within* the industry who doubted them, later became bitter about their success and tried to exploit them for their own benefit.
it calls out the hypocrisy of those who claimed that 875 could have never made it or that 875’s rise was only possible because of someone else’s fall.
now regarding the opening, i will not claim to know the intention behind its use. nor do i condone the use of a heavily controversial speech. but i can offer my personal reading of the juxtaposition.
personal opinion: jj had a staunch and devoted following as a cult of personality. but in the end, he misled hundreds of them to their tragic, horrific deaths. his followers innately believed he was a good person but were betrayed by his malignant self-serving narcissism.
personal opinion: it could be that the impassioned excerpt symbolises the narcissistic artistes who get obsessed with status and fame, hence going astray and as a consequence leading their followers astray too.
personal opinion: fandoms are seen as cults too, after all, and this might have been the commonality he picked up on. but if what i am hypothesising is right, is this a good comparison? unfortunately not, considering the context and the implications of drawing such a comparison.
personal opinion: again if i am right in my reading, then it’s important to remember that when we draw analogies, both sides must have equal “weight”. otherwise the intention gets skewed by larger implications. so this does seem like a case of poor juxtaposition.
personal opinion: i will also say that lyrically, the analogy doesn’t hold up. so it might just be that i am completely wrong in my reading or that the intention was not executed to its fullest potential for whatever reason. that’s all i have to say 🥺
[ps. i am using tentative wording because this is just my reading and it should be in no way used against him. i just wished to shed light on how i imagine that juxtaposition might have been intended. it could still be that he really had no idea too. in which case, oof 😔]
