NYers will continue to protest, and the repeated rage + failure to de-escalate by police is unacceptable.

Using excessive force to push this woman to the ground is unacceptable. We need immediate accountability from NYPD/judiciary of officers involved in these acts. https://twitter.com/jasonlemon/status/1266529475757510656
Last night was a result of centuries of racism, and NYC leadership did nothing to acknowledge or handle this rightful outrage.

It’s not enough to ask what happened, and we can’t have @NYCMayor continue to pass the buck to the NYPD. He's their boss, he needs to act like it. 2/ https://twitter.com/carlinarivera/status/1266467178225827840
My friends @zellnor4ny and @YourFavoriteASW were both pepper sprayed in Brooklyn yesterday. They showed up as public servants and elected leaders and went to keep the peace. Treatment of them and countless protesters was unjustifiable. 3/ https://twitter.com/zellnor4ny/status/1266538790446825472
Since no one, from Trump to de Blasio, is taking this brutality head on, other legislators must. NY can make its own reforms. Repeal 50-A, slash the NYPD budget this year and invest in cure violence + community, and terminate/charge officers with records of brutality. 4/4
