This movie is so oddly modern...the war sequence is so strange because it feels like a modern war with bows? I don’t know how else to explain it...
For what it’s worth, this movie’s cinematography is actually quite pristine. I like the aesthetic and the way it feels. It’s also easy to enjoy parts of it with Taron in the lead. Dude is just so likable.
Oh, so were really doing Robin Hood as Batman with this. By day, the rich playboy, but night the crazed vigilante. Alright, I see you, Robin Hood...
I don’t want to be that guy, but if Robin was “dead”, suddenly he’s back, and there’s a random vigilante in Nottingham......how do we not just put two and two together? Come on, guys... 😂
I think I have a crush of Eve Hewson...
Honestly, this is worth watching for Ben Mendelsohn and Taron’s back and forth. The two of them are legit great together. Such a good cat and mouse style game. Goddamn, Mendelsohn can truly chew up the scenery.
This party scene feels like something out of Moulin Rouge...that’s the entire aesthetic and feel of it.
Taron is too good in this role. Legitimately, this movie would be so much worse if he wasn’t the lead. He’s just so goddamn likable in the lead. 🤷🏻‍♂️
