in the next few days there will be calls for reform, for training, for more money to the police to train. There will be calls for inquests and other strategies that rely on the state. we must resist the temptation of finding a solution for state violence *from the state*.

we must dream much bigger than that now. time to DEFUND the police. time to abolish the prison state and police state. they are NOT keeping us safer or more secure. we are dying at the hands of the police state

the money spent on decades of reformist police trainings could solve many issues today. the time and labour that went into those trainings could be better used building a new society. ENOUGH

rather than bloating the police budget, lets reinvest in US. in our communities, in our programs, in our lives.
