This is going to be hard for many in Labour to hear.

But if you want to win back Red Wall voters your party lost in the last UK General Election, you probably need to focus more on how police forces mismanaged large-scale cases of child sexual abuse across much of England. https://twitter.com/Keir_Starmer/status/1266672661679218688
This is what I call "easy points politics".

Starmer is commenting on an undoubtedly tragic case of racial injustice in a foreign liberal democracy - riding a social-media wave which has energised his own party activists.

But is he brave enough to face up to real issues here?
There is growing anti-system sentiment in predominantly white British, working class communities, over how large-scale cases of child sexual case have been handled by the authorities.

A perception that young white girls were sacrificed in order to protect "diversity politics".
The mismanagement of cases of underaged white girls being sexually abused by non-white men, fundamentally undermines the contemporary Left's precious white privilege narratives.

But it is now a serious social issue - a national discussion that Labour will need to be part of.
"Easy points politics", over events outside of the UK, goes down an absolute treat in "progressive" social-media echo-chambers.

But it will achieve very little in terms of Labour winning back lost voters within white British working-class communities across much of England.
