Being mixed is crazy, when you speak out on your experiences with racism some of your white family members will try to remind you you’re half white. As if being white means you can’t empathize with the community. And see the clear disenfranchisement.

My skin is brown. In this society I will always be viewed as a person of color or a black man. I will always stand up for my brothers and sisters. I promise you I will be and do more than just a few posts. I’m so tired of seeing people who look like me

And my friends get murdered because some cop is a hot head, poorly trained or just flat out racist. I will make a difference if it’s the last thing I do.
