Hello. My name is Austin and I have some things to say.
For the longest time I would be naive to the situations going on in the world because I would rather not see the bad. I understand this was the wrong thing to do, but at the time I was doing what I felt comfortable with.
With the recent events, and those prior to Floyd, I am done hiding. I am done turning the other cheek because I “don’t feel comfortable looking at the negative”. The negative will ALWAYS be there until WE put an end to it.
That being said it is up to us to educate ourselves on current events and take action. You can easily make change anywhere by signing a petition, donating, calling, or just making others aware.
Please remember it it not up to others to educate you. You must be willing to see the world the way it is and see what is wrong with it. You must want change. And if you’re silent then YOU are part of the problem.
I used to think using my voice did not make change but it just takes one person to hear that voice to spread the message.

I understand this is different than anything I’ve ever posted but how many black lives have to die for you to understand they were never the enemy.
And if this thread made you mad because you see someone supporting black lives well then CONGRATULATIONS, you confirmed you are a racist and you do not care what is happening to black lives across America.
Please help in any way you can. I have already signed both petitions and donated to the Minnesota Freedom Fund. Do what you can, say it from the heart, and make the change.
I typically do not share my opinion on these issues so I apologize if this is not the most organized, but I am trying and so should you.
