When administered to trans kids, "puberty blockers" should be referred to as “prison blockers" because cis puberty is not an actual puberty for trans kids, it's a prison that you can never *fully* escape once you're thrown in.
Puberty is a beautiful thing!
It’s a time to blossom and bloom, to mature, to undergo a weaving of mind and body into You.
But that's not what lots of trans kids experience without HRT.

Self harm/suicide stats are so high for trans folks because it’s the one definite way to escape the prison. Not trying to be inflammatory, but when I say transition was the only OTHER option, it's because I was tired. I HAD to escape. I'm so glad HRT worked.
