Sheku Bayoh was murdered by Police Scotland. One of the cops, Alan Paton, who was kept on after beating his own mother unconscious, openly admitted to "hating black people." He has still faced no prosecution. Do not pretend police racism is something that happens somewhere else.

They beat him to death and then they got away with it completely. Five full years on, there is still no justice for Sheku Bayoh.

Alan Paton, who should be in jail for murder, has instead been on full-pay ever since. He enjoys round the clock police protection from his colleagues, who go beyond the call of duty to protect him. He was no rotten apple; Police Scotland as a whole is institutionally racist.
