If you’re a white person at these protests, and you see other white people starting shit like throwing rocks or starting fires, you need to shut that down. That’s not solidarity, it’s agitation, and the ones who will wind up paying for it are Black and brown people

If you are at these protests trying to be an ally, your jobs are 1) defer to the Black people leading the protest 2) Protect Black and brown people by being human shield 3) keep an eye on your skinfolk, some of whom might be undercover cops or outside agitators

If you can't tell the difference between "don't let white people escalate situations when they're not the ones the cops are going to brutalize" and "white people should never disobey cops," I don't know what to tell you except read more better

If you think this somehow means I think Black people can only riot when led by white people starting shit, I don't think you actually read what I said. I am telling you to LET BLACK PEOPLE LEAD YOU FOR ONCE IN YOUR FUCKING LIFE.

LISTEN to the people on the ground. The people whose neighborhoods you're in. The people you're supposedly fighting for. And why did I bring this up? Because of what I'm seeing in reports from people on the ground, saying they ARE seeing white outsiders starting shit.

Again, I am not saying never riot. I am saying don't *instigate* when you know damn well you're not the one who's going to pay for it.
