I really do have the best dad ever. Anybody who knows him knows he struggles with RA & another disease that he’s constantly in pain. The one thing that helps him is if he keeps moving. Since we’ve had our dogs he’s always taken them on walks for miles & miles. Recently Molly was

diagnosed with cancer. She has a large tumor on her front leg which swells more when she goes on these long walks. Molly had to stop going with them & it’s broken my dad’s heart. Today he texts me (he’s been on a walk with Lou since 7:30 this morning)&tells me he’s 2 minutes away

& to bring Molly out with her leash. He gets here & he says he walked all the way back here since they have about 10 minutes left in them (they’ve already walked 10-12 miles today) to just get Molly so she could walk with them even for a couple minutes. His exact words were

“we have to keep the team together - it’s not the same without her”. He really walked all the way back home just to grab Molly just so she could get a little bit of her normal-ness she’s been missing out on. Just for a 5-10 minute or so walk.

Now I’m crying & sorry this thread is so long I just had to brag about my wonderful dad with everybody
