My biggest hope is that these protest illuminate the need for PROACTIVE action and strategy to combat racism. That proactiveness needs to be felt by politicians, police departments, corporations and any public figure and person in power.

Everyone is and has been REACTIVE and on top of that its only until the hype of the issue dies down. We live this shit everyday so the proactiveness is forced upon us. Everyone else in this country needs to feel that pressure. This is the start.

It requires checking whole institutions, pushing legislature to create incredibly harsh penalties for law enforcement that scare and deter them from ever using force.

Same goes for the average citizen, Amber Coopers need to know that their lives will without a doubt be destroyed for trying to weaponize their whiteness. The protests are a symbolic response to hundreds of years of evil, and im hoping they’ll be a galvanizing force for change
