This is nowhere near the importance of racial inequality and police brutality but with all these protests going on I'm reminded of what happened to comedy right after Trump won in 2016.
the 2 months in 2016 following the election comedy hit a creative lull. Shows were full of directionless diatribes sans punchlines where comics onstage would literally just yell about how much Trump sucked and the audiences ate it up.
one of my 4000 side-gigs that I take on in a desperate attempt to move out of my mother's house is I punch up and proofread late night packets.

Do you know how many of them had Trump jokes/sketches? 99.999999%
some actually had interesting things to say but it was all beating a dead horse, if/when we return to comedy there will 4000% be comics who will take the mic and go "uhhh the police are bad amirite" we know that, you aren't breaking new ground
Donate. Go to a protest. Write challenging material. Listen to your black friends/comics, and don't be afraid to ask what to do if you sincerely don't know what to do.
