Valmiki:
Maharishi Valmiki is the author of the holy epic 'Ramayana,' which consists of nearly 24,000 verses.
Narada visited Maharishi Valmiki in his ashram once and there: he narrated the story of Lord Rama. After that, he received a vision from Lord Brahma in which the Lord instructed him to write Ramayana in shlokas, which the sage readily followed.
The Valmiki Ramayana is said to be dated variously from the period 500 BC to 100 BC. At the same time, Valmiki is also considered to be the contemporary of Lord Ram
Kalidas:
Kalidas was a Classical Sanskrit writer, widely regarded as the greatest poet and dramatist in the Sanskrit language of India. His plays and poetry are primarily based on the Vedas, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata and the Puranas.
अभिज्ञानशाकुन्तलम्,is a Sanskrit play by Kālidāsa, dramatizing the story of Shakuntala told in the epic Mahabharata. Its exact date is uncertain, but Kālidāsa is often placed in the 4th century AD.
Banabhatta
Banabhatta (Sanskrit: बाणभट्ट) was a 7th-century Sanskrit prose writer and poet of India. He was the Asthana Kavi in the court of King Harsha Vardhana, who reigned c. 606–647 CE in north India first from Sthanvishvara (Thanesar), and later Kannauj.
Bāna's principal works include a biography of Harsha, the Harshacharita ...deeds of Harsha
Kabir Das
Kabir Das ws a 15th-century Indian mystic poet and saint whs writings influenced Hinduism's Bhakti movement n hs verses r found in Sikhism's scripture Guru Granth Sahib. Hs early life ws in a Muslim family, bt he ws strongly influenced by Hindu bhakti leader Ramanand.
Amarasimha
Amarasimha was a Sanskrit grammarian and poet from ancient India, of whose personal history hardly anything is known. He is said to have been "one of the nine gems that adorned the throne of Vikramaditya. "
The Amarakosha is the popular thesaurus in Sanskrit written by Amarasimha. It may be the oldest extant kosha.
Jayadeva
Jayadeva also known as Jaidev, was a Sanskrit poet during the 12th century. He is most known for his epic poem 'Gita Govinda' which concentrates on Krishna's love with the cowherdess, Radha in a rite of spring.
This poem, which presents the view that Radha is greater than Krishna, is considered an important text in the Bhakti movement of Hinduism.
Vishakhadatta
Vishakhadatta was an Indian Sanskrit poet and playwright.
Two of his plays, the Mudrārākṣasa and the Devichandraguptam are known to us.
Mudrarakshasa is a Sanskrit-language play by Vishakhadatta that narrates the ascent of the king Chandragupta Maurya to power in India.
Devi-Chandraguptam is an Indian Sanskrit-language political drama attributed to Vishakhadeva, who is generally identified with Vishakhadatta.
