I& #39;m an Egyptian who grew up in Kuwait. And I wasn& #39;t rich either. I& #39;ve faced racism from random kuwaities, classmates, teachers, and even certain "friends" my whole life. I& #39;ve been stopped by cops just walking to a store next to my house to check my papers (luckily had them...
...in my back pocket). I& #39;ve been beaten up, spat on, shamed and made to feel like shit because I wasn& #39;t kuwaity. My father worked in a company for 30 years without raise because he& #39;s not kuwaity, even tho he& #39;s the one keeping that company running and taking late night calls to...
...come into work after an already long work day, etc. Being born the "wrong" race in a country filled with racists fucking sucks.
This is why I can& #39;t and won& #39;t stay silent when it comes to my black brothers and sisters. Enough is enough.

This thread obviously wasn& #39;t to make things about me or be like "hey look at me I faced injustice too!" but to show that even if you come from a different background, facing different struggles, injustice and racism are still just that, and we have to stand together against it!
