Imagine a world where Mormons stand up for oppressed people everywhere because we remember how we were treated in Illinois and Missouri, instead of constant desperate bootlicking and begging for acceptance from Republicans and evangelicals who despise us anyway.
We literally were driven out of the country and then fought an actual war against thr United States. Why the fuck are we so pathetically anxious about getting it to like us.
I mean we love to talk about how persecuted and oppressed we are and how there was an extermination order but we manage to never lift a goddamn finger to help people who are actually persecuted and oppressed.
The Mennonites are in Minneapolis but where are we? We're too busy worshipping Mammon and the praise of the world. https://twitter.com/NedWhat/status/1266515656037588992?s=20
Brigham Young was wrong about a lot of things but he was right about this.
PS the hurt and horror we inflict on our LGBTQ+ siblings has everything to do with our desperate, pathetic need to get evangelicals to accept us.
Clean Skousen and yes, Ezra Taft Benson, were quisling collaborators who worshipped the idol of the American project, but y'all aren't ready for that conversation.
Also please don't come into my mentions with #NotAllMormons bullshit. I am talking about what Mormons do *as a people* not what individual Mormons do.

Spend some time thinking about that before talking so I don't have to reflexively block you for being obtuse.
