These last couple days I& #39;ve seen people unite like never before, for a cause that should be a basic human right. I& #39;ve also seen the opposite.
I can see my privileges in life without negating or erasing the hardships I& #39;ve had. Why do people forget that and become so defensive? /2

On the other hand, I& #39;ve seen some ironically hateful words/judgement cast upon others without any actual consideration of how that may be detrimental to this time.
It& #39;s one thing to speak with passion & purpose, it& #39;s another to speak with hate. Why fight hate with more hate? /3

I hope my friends, family, mutuals, etc know that I& #39;ve got your back to fight for what is right. All I ask is that you that you do the same for others.

Showing love and support to your fellow neighbor goes way beyond a hashtag or a donation (though no one is saying they don& #39;t help).
Listen. Observe. Seek to understand. Stand up for those who cannot themselves. Love amidst the hate. Be a force for good. Be a force for change. /5

To my dear friends, colleagues, & beautiful strangers within the black community: I hope you know how sorry I am on behalf of the evil in the world you& #39;ve had to face & fear. I cannot fathom fully the extent but I hope you know just how many of us are here as allies listening. /6
To the individuals who are not satisfied with this thread, I don& #39;t know what else to tell you. This is something I& #39;ve been writing/rewriting for about 2 days now, and somehow it never comes out the way I wish. I& #39;m not sure if it ever will. But it can& #39;t stay in the drafts. /7
My heart has been heavy this week but that doesn& #39;t mean I can& #39;t have hope to see change brought forward through all the pain. Even if it& #39;s not going to be the easiest or prettiest process.

If a hashtag offends or upsets you, I really hope you look deep within yourself to figure out why that is and work on replacing that with love.
